Keep Learning and Planning

Category Selling Beats Tips
If you're not learning then you're dying. If you're not planning then you'll die. In this beat business you must always be learning and planning. With the knowledge you acquire, you must now apply it to your activities and to do this effectively you must plan. It is not important to create a big massive business plan at this stage. Simply endulging yourself into an Excel or Google Spreadsheet where you can add various items and numbers is enough to get you started. When you first learn about things you can do such as tracking your beat website performance or the benefits of having a mailing list, you can then start adding items to your Plan Sheet of the things you will do and act upon.

Google +1 Button

Category Selling Beats Tips
Hi MyFlashStore Users! The +1 button is shorthand for "this is pretty cool" or "you should check this out." That's how Google present their latest "baby". I'm pretty sure a lot of ya'll already know about Google's new +1 button. If not, make sure you get some info about it! I found out that Google will rank your website better if you have the +1 button on it & a good amount of users press it. Click here to read more about the Google +1 Button.
Google will give you an HTML code for your website to put that button on your website. If you use WordPress (like I do), I'd recommend this plugin.
If you want to see the +1 Button in action, check out http://www.shynebeats.com - feel free to click it :) The plugin that I used automatically puts the button in all posts & pages. |
Quick Tip: Share Your Content

What's good myFlashStore users! I'd like to briefly tell you about a nice tool that ya'll should add to your website, since it looks like it's very effective. The tool i'm talking about is AddThis.com. It's basically a widget, which let's you put a few "share buttons" on your own website. I uploaded a screenshot from my website, so ya'll know what it looks like:
Now...what this tool does: If somebody click "Like"...he'll automatically share that certain site on FaceBook (because all his friends see the link). Same with Twitter, MySpace & many many more. In other words it's FREE PROMOTION for you. If your visitors like your website/your beats they'll hit "Like" or "Tweet" & drive a lot of traffic to that site. Since I have a Blog on my website, I put "AddThis" on every single page, so my visitors/readers can share any content they like.
PS: If you don't mind. You see this kind of "Share Button" on this post too, right?...Why don't share this post with other people too? Just saying :) |
Finding the Right People!

Category Selling Beats Tips
I noticed that a large number of Beatmakers & Producers have really dope Beats, but their marketing sucks! Even though...some of them are working really hard & are spending hundreds of bucks on Advertisments. The main reason why they aren't selling anything (or just a few beats a month) is because most of them are talking to the wrong people. This is probably one of the most-made mistake in the history of marketing! In this Article, I want to share with ya'll how it's done right! Here's how I use to do it: There's a real nice website called http://www.QuantCast.com. It's basically a website, which shows you the Demographics of another website. It shows you how many visitors visited a certain website, how old they are, where they went to school, what browser they're using, etc. This might sound a little bit crazy, but that's how it works! I use to check the demographics of the biggest beat-selling websites on the web. Well what it tells me is: most of the visitors are between 18-34 years old, male, went to College, use Firefox, etc. By having this kind of information, it automatically makes me a little richer! Why? Well...I adapt my website to the visitors that I'd like to have! I design my ads, so they be interesting to people between 18-34 years (no childish advertisment banners, etc..) For example: I won't put "Justin Bieber" on my advertisment banner to "represent" my website..because I don't want 14-year old girls to come & listen to my beats...I'd rather put someone like "B.o.B" or "Eminem". It's a basic & simple idea, but very effective. Imagine: This could be the point where your whole business could change!
I'll post more of this kind of articles! So stay tuned. Feel free to E-Mail me if you have any questions! This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it |
