what is the best preamp to you?
UAD is some incredible equipment! I also use Event 20/20 monitors (8")at home. I use the same monitors in the studio and it is amazing how different they sound due to the acoustical treatments at the studio. It is VITAL to mix in a "tuned" room. Otherwise your ears will constantly deceive you. But that being said, if you can get great mixes in a sub-par room, you will increase your ability to identify tones and adjust accordingly. Years of live audio engineering has taught me what to listen for in any acoustical situation and compensate accordingly. rip it up!
