I do all of my stuff at home, but I don't have an isolation booth so that is limiting... But the price is right. I think if you needed an isolated room, suburban industrial areas are sometimes good but security may be an issue too. I'm curious about what others think.

Yea if you are going to be serious about your studio, find a place which is not near residential areas. It's best to be in a standalone building if possible. Noise complaints can ruin your business, it's well worth taking extra time to pick a suitable location for it.
