I have a domain name redirected to my SoundClick page and I am using the MySpace / SoundClick player code. when customers select a beat and click the 'Buy Now' button, they are redirected to a Paypal error page that says:

I tried using the other player code for websites and the 'Buy Now' button will not work at all. The only way I can get the 'Buy Now' button to work is if I go directly to my SoundClick link.

How can I get the player to work with my domain name? I was wondering why sales were so slow.

i see u SM...i just had a person tell me that the page wont redirect him to the paypyal site to make a payment...so he wanted to pay me directly...only my 2nd day of my trial...hopefully things are rectified here....also it doesnot seem to redirect to paypal.com from anyother site the player is on.

Im chillin Bruh! bout to get my website up so i can get like yall...i noticed that the player works when u place it directly on ur page, but i also tried placing the player in a message to someone on myspace and the player shows up and u can choose what u want to buy, but the player never redirects to paypal...it says it will but never does...so it doesnot work when using messaging apps on myspace...havent tried any others to see tho...

But yeah sales have been slowing down drastically since I forwarded my domain name and I was wondering why until someone hit me up saying that were having problems with the 'Buy Now' button sending them to a Paypal error page. Then when I tried it myself, I saw what they meant. Mad people could be trying to cop beats but can't. You probably right, it has to be something with other websites as o why the player doesn't redirect to Paypal on other websites.

I was thinking the same thing about having a mini player to send to folks on MySpace or something. I hope this problem gets fixed asap because this is a bad look.

Sparkz - I'm not really sure why you and you customer is having this problem, it's very strange. I have tried to recreate this error but I can't, when I add beats I get redirected to your PayPal just fine, here is an image with the first 5 of your beats in PayPal.

I see you are using a forwarding domain but the domain name remains in the address bar, this is called masking. When setting the domain to redirect, you should have 2 options, one is a complete redirect, and one is masking redirect which is what you have now. A possible fix would be to change it to complete redirect, try that and see if it works.

Amazinj - You are having this problem because you are using the wrong player code, please read the below thread.

PLEASE NOTE - only send the player in messages to people who ask for it, otherwise if you send it without consent, this is SPAM. Spam is bad on you and because you're using the myFlashStore players, it's bad on me. I have got complaints before and now it is unacceptable to spam people with the player. If you spam people in messages with your player, your account will be disabled without warning.

I forwarded my domain unmasked like you said and it seems to work now on IE as well as FireFox. But if the problem was me masking the forward, wouldn't the same issue with the 'Buy Now' button occur on a website unrelated to MySpace or SoundClick? The reason I ask is since a PayPal Cart works whether a domain forward is masked or unmasked, why wouldn't the player work?

Also, can you delete that pic you posted with my email? I don't want to start getting more spam than I am already getting.

Glad it works now. I'm not really sure why it has a problem with masking, it's definitely not our players because it works fine in Firefox and Safari, it's just IE. IE has so many problems with it and some of the stuff it does is inexplicable. I think it's a PayPal/IE problem where IE is not sending the correct information to paypal because the the domain is masking the PayPal page as well as your SoundClick page.

Lol, why am I not surprised? IE sucks bigtime and is the worst of the worst. Thanks for your speedy reply in getting this issue resolved. If any other problems arise, I'll keep you posted.
