There were a lot of big points in some postings on the topic. Hit and miss on a few. One thing I didn't read or missed it was the importance of blogs! Writing a well thought out and heavy content blog is a huge step to help you guys in some of your marketing techniques. (Some people pay for this help) You can use blogs to post to fb/twitter/email alerts and etc...!!!! As long as you can write well and have a topic worth sharing, your traffic to your destination will become more active in which turns around to effective marketing due to indirectly or direct advertisement.
You can find tons of information on blogs and how to write them online or do as I did and get a couple books out from your local library. Other forms of topic can be researched or if patient I will be releasing this information in a few weeks to come.
Honestly, if you are a "no name" then sales will be very hard to come by... no matter how good your beats sound. You are a BRAND and you need to react and think like one. Nike advertises with a smoosh and everyone knows what brand that is... and yes a swoosh SELLS!!! Get your BRAND out there!!! Marketing or not. Spread the word!
p.s. Also, now your market... If you are good with mastering tracks then shed some money off the asking price. If you don't .wav or track-outs with your downloads... shed some off of your asking price.
