i se a lot of producers on myflashstore are complaining about people selling leases for less than 1 dollar etc...i think that the flashstore community is a family...As a familly we should find solutions...
So here is my idea why not set the smallest lease price to $ 9.99 for example ?
I think its fair

That Would Be Great but A LOT of Producers Would Crumble (ie Genius boy, 99centzbeatshop, Pusher etc.)Cause They Make They HELLA Sales On Low Priced Beats, and I Doubt They Customers Would stick Around If Their Beats Just Jumped To $9.99 or More. So The Only Choice Is To Lower Your Prices To Their Level or Just Grind Harder. Even Though It Would Be Nice To Have FAIR Competition For The Top Spots.

its is all fair game... Its about your grind. If anybody values there beats at $.99 thats fine with them cant knock there hustle. All us other producers got to do(including me) is grind hard and market effectively. Do the math... my leases are $19.95 If I sell 1 lease at $19.95 it takes 20 $.99 beats just to match it.

Economics...!!! Thats why most TOP EARNERS don't sell at $.99. A way to help each other is to help bring traffic to each others site for example. Lets exchange links that will boost our website presence across all search engines...

K-otic is right, most of the TOP EARNERS on the site DON'T sell their beats for $.99 - most of them sell for at least $9.99 - so what's better selling 10 beats for $9.99 or 100 beats for $.99? Well in my opinion, even though you'll get the same amount of money, I think it's better to sell 10 beats for $9.99 because your beats "appear" to be most valuable. Don't devalue yourself just because other producers want to sell their beats for cheap.

That's whats so great about building relationships with your customers, think about it this way, would you rather buy a decent beat from a "friend" for $10 or a decent beat from someone you don't even know, spoke to or even seen for $1...probably the friend right? Even though you are paying more money, you go with the person you have a "relationship" with. Well imagine if you made "friends" with 100 rappers online...you do the math. Building relationships is the most important thing in any business...that's where most producers get lazy and that's why they don't make as many sales. Don't be one of them. You build relationships, you can charge what you want and people will buy.

We won't set minimum price for beats, this will never happen on myFlashStore. We will not dictate what price people should sell their beats at.

I am not assuming anything, i'm just trying to point out that just because producers like yourself sell their beats for cheap, that doesn't mean everyone has to. You have your own way of doing things, there is nothing wrong with that, it works fantastically for you. Other producers are thinking negatively about this tactic and think they have to follow to keep up, and i'm just explaining this doesn't have to be the case.

I'm sure you are building relationships and working hard.

I think we also have to think of ways to promote outside of the internet community as well because an indie artist who is touring and most of the year doesn't have the time to surf the net for beats all of the time. I also think it is a good idea to work with some artists in your area that you believe in because this can be a good way to market your talents as well as get in the door to shop an artist to a label.
