I suffer from beat block every now and then, also not too long ago. My last beat was made 3 days ago on my myspace page but before that it was at least 2 months long with some of it due to a few bad situations. My best solution was to simply listen to music to get inspired. I listened to the radio and listened to my own to see what I can do better and finally got back into it.

I can't listen to the radio too long without feeling my mind has become 'zombified' due to all the trash I hear. The best remedy for beat block is to take a few days off and enjoy music from a listeners perspective. Whenever you force music, it's gonna come out wack.

Yea definitely agree with sparkz, you can't just force yourself to make music, it has to come out naturally. When I come up with an idea for a track, it's like I have to get to my computer fast to just let it out, if i'm not by my computer, it's all about humming it into my iPhone There's also a sick iPhone app called 4 Track, you can record up to 4 tracks, but then you can bounce them all down to one and keep going.

Glad to hear you are back to making beats.. I have to admit I've been on the longest beat block ever and just got back on it myself. Banged out about 30 beats in the last two weeks..
