I don't have an isolation booth, but I don't record many things with a microphone. I am surprised at how forgiving my SM58 has been as far as not picking up ambient noise from the building on some occasions.

Does anyone here have an isolation booth in their home?

a shure sm58 mic pretty much rejects background noise as it is a more stage/live use mic.. if you ever use a studio condenser mic you will pick up background sounds as they are more sensitive but give a brighter sound than an sm 58

an alternative to an iso booth is an SE REFLEXION FILTER

I would never invest in a isolation booth for my home - I would prefer having a separate studio to do my work in. I don't record much at home anyway, i don't perform, and most of the performers I know do not live near my home, hence the separate studio in the city.

That SE Reflection Filter is great, we have it at our studio. We have a little bit of bleed coming from the control room as the sound proofing isn't done fully, so we just point the back to the reflection filter to the door and cuts all noise out (unless the speakers are at stupidly high levels). Worth getting one of them

I've never owned a condenser mike. Do all of them require phantom power? I guess if I was using one that did, I'd plug it into my Yamaha MD8 which offers phantom power and from there to my M Audio interface to the computer.

My setup is more modest than most here, I guess.
