LEASING RIGHTS:

You will receive an encoded MP3 file of the untagged instrumental. The instrumental will be delivered digitally through email upon purchase of non-exclusive lease. Leasing rights allow you to use the instrumental for ONE commercial recording or broadcast ONLY. This recording can then be distributed up to 2,000 copies. Distributing more than 2,000 copies means you must acquire a new lease or exclusive rights. You may also use the beat for non-profit promotional use or demos. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. You will receive a contract in the mail granting you non-exclusive rights to the beat (please provide your mailing address to doubleoctaveproductions@gmail.com upon purchase either directly or via paypal purchase/download). In the event that someone buys exclusive rights to the beat you have leased, your rights shall stand and the beat is still yours to use. You may also acquire new leasing rights if you distribute more than 2,000 copies, up to 10,000 copies, since your contract predates exclusive sale. Upon purchasing leasing rights, Double Octave Productions still owns the instrumental(s) and is able to resell the beat(s) to any other party until exclusive rights have been purchased. Double Octave Productions will receive a royalty from distributions or downloads over 10,000 copies. Double Octave Productions however still owns the copyright to the instrumental. You must give full credit to Double Octave Productions on all commercial recordings (example, saying “Double Octave Productions” at the beginning of your recording).

EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS:

You will receive a MP3 file of the instrumental untagged (free of soundmarks). The instrumental will be delivered digitally via email. Exclusive rights grant you unlimited commercial recordings and broadcasts. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. You will receive a contract in the mail granting you exclusive rights to the instrumental. You will also receive the "tracked out" version along with the mastered wav file in the mail as well (please provide your mailing address to doubleoctaveproductions@gmail.com upon purchase either directly or via paypal purchase/download). You own the recording as a "work made for hire". Double Octave Productions may no longer lease or sell the instrumental, except for prior leasing rights holders and his/her own promotional page (no downloads there). Double Octave Productions will not receive a royalty from distributions or downloads. Double Octave Productions however still owns the copyright to the instrumental. You must give full credit to Double Octave Productions on all commercial recordings (example, saying “Double Octave Productions” at the beginning of your recording).
