About me

Deshi Movement™ was named & created on the 5th of May 2008 by Kobi Shahan Sha also known as Sh8s!™ as a revolutionary step into the U.K. Bangla Music Industry.

The initial idea was to form a solid group of singers and rappers who brought something new but also cultural to the industry.

"The name Deshi Movement came to me when I was walking home after recording 'Bangali Bhai' in Mogol's house with RD1" - Sh8s!™

"Deshi Movement was not a platform, was not a band, Deshi Movement was a group of individuals coming together with a different way of doing things" - Sh8s!™

On the 14th of July 2008 a legal agreement was made between Kobi Shahan Sha - (Sh8s) & Mogol Miah - (Mogz) witnessed by Hassan Muhit - (MC H) & Tamim Chowdhury - (Dougzy) which states that Sh8s & Mogz have the overall say in what is produced and distributed by Deshi Movement™.

Since Mogol Miah owned the studio and was the engineer and Kobi Shahan Sha controlled the creative and promotional aspects of the group it seemed fair by all parties.

Today Deshi Movement is apparently a platform and Kobi Shahan Sha has taken a backseat from the everyday running of the organisation, still part owner of the Deshi Movement he has established his own label under Konk Bak Recordz™ and is still coming strong with his creative genius.
