About me

Lionel Blucher is a sophomore attending Full Sail University. Music has been flowing throw his blood since November 11, 1990. He was born in Miami, FL and raised in the United States Virgin Islands. When he first fell in love with music, he was in the 8th grade. It is at this time when he became a drum machine programmer. When Lionel was promoted to the Charlotte Amaile High School, he started to play the piano and the bells with the award winning CAHS Marching Hawks. During his high school years, Lionel and his friends started a calypso band. He came up with the name Sho’Lyne Band, and was the lead pianist and drum machine programmer from the 9th grade to present. Being a member of the band also came along with his nickname, Mr. Jokah. In April of 2008 and 2009, the band came out with back to back albums, The Burning Sensation and De Nu Ting Pon Deh Block. Lionel was the producer of all the tracks and both albums. Currently the band is working on their next album which should release in April of 2010. On June 7, 2009, Lionel graduated from high school. At the ceremony, he performed a percussion piece that he arranged along with other graduating percussionist. The summer of 2009, Lionel entered the First Annual Riddim Masters Competition. The competition was between several drum machine programmers from around the Virgin Islands. At the end of the competition, Lionel “Mr. Jeaucar” tied for first place. Lionel is currently a part of the 340 Band in Orlando. He feels being a part of this band is an honor because it is comprised of some of the best Virgin Islands’ musicians. As a student at the prestigious Full Sail University, Lionel is currently majoring in Recording Arts and will graduate in the year 2011
