About me

After graduating from TCI College in New York City in 2009, where I obtained my Associates Degree in Digital Media Arts, I started the Bachelors Degree Program at Full Sail University in June 2010. I have been producing Beats since 2005 and also have a keen interest in the Audio/Visual and Digital Media Arts field. My journey in music began when I was a young boy, my sister and I use to go to all the stage shows at The Brooklyn Fox and Paramount Theaters in Brooklyn, NY. I had great aspirations of being the next Jackie Wilson or Ben E. King. I really loved performing in front of the mirror while playing back the shows albums.
At the age of 10 my mom gave me a guitar and I started taking lessons from a neighborhood friend whose father played guitar with the Famous Ink Spots. Later I began to sing harmonies with my boys (friends) on the streets and in the hallways of my Brooklyn neighborhood. I developed my musical tastes and interests, listening to The Temptation, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, The OJays, Stevie Wonder, The Delfonics, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, The Jive Five, The Drifters, Clyde McPhatter, The Iceman, Jerry Butler, Lionel Richie and the Commodores, and Curtis Mayfield. So I have a strong background in R&B, but I also love the funk of James Brown, Slave, and The Ohio Players. I also love the Hip Hop genre. The Tracks I produce for www.richbeats.com are a mix of Old School R&B, Reggae, Latin and Hip Hop and my take on it all. I have sang backup harmonies in several groups in the New York and California areas, and have also sang backup for artist such as Phyliss Roundtree and Rikki Ribbers. Presently I am working on Music for an artist named TaNeal, she is a vocalist and song arranger from Ohio now living in Atlanta, GA, I also produced Tracks for Nicole Rue’s Erotic Gifts here in New York City. I have had my Music placed in a Independent Movie released in September 2010 and on several Cable TV Shows (BEVERLY HILLS FABULOUS, JOAN AND MELISSA: JOAN KNOWS BEST?, Tosh O).
